More creationsjam pedals workshop/showroom at Petralona

In the new JAM PEDALS workshop - showroom at Petralona - Athens, the main object of our study was to combine seven different activities under the same roof. To accommodate all these housing needs, a double storey space was chosen which originated from the connection of two adjacent stores that shared the same loft. The main point of the project was the showroom, the workshop, the office and the art studio.

We emphasized the integration of all the activities by maintaining a common color throughout the premises, while all the metal elements (staircase, handrails, piping) were painted in a vivid lime to contrast the grey walls. We gave a special treatment to the double height wall of the showroom with the intervention of artist and colleague Kostis Vihos who cooperated with the JAM PEDALS team and created the large graffiti painting accurately depicting the style of the company and its products. The showroom includes the testing and quality control booth as well as a low platform stage to house small live music events and seminars. The ground floor also houses the manufacture and assembly area and a special operations isolated booth.

The circular steel staircase leads from the showroom to the upper loft which maintains visual continuity with the ground floor via two internal balconies. On the loft are situated the office and the studio where the products receive the Artwork.

As always with our projects, special care was taken to install modern insulation on the roof and walls and low-e films in the front and rear glass areas to minimize heat transfer and energy consumption, while all the lights use LED technology.
